E-mail and Nursing

E-mail is a technology that is used daily for communicating between colleagues and supervisors. It is great for this profession because it works best for a nurse's schedule. You are able to send and look at e-mails at your own convenience. It is an easy way to contact many people in a short time, because instead of making a few calls to colleagues or supervisors; you are able to say the same thing with a click of a mouse.

In the hospital that am employed at, we use e-mail for communication between all the departments in the hospital. I get e-mails from dietary about the weeks lunch menu to e-mails from infection control about recent infection breakouts at nearby institutions. This technology is useful and important in the nursing profession.
